In the 7th match minute, FC Metropol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Dahlberg to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 9 minutes, Ionuț Budianu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Metropol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionuț Budianu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl-Michael Burman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Metropol. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Ionuț Budianu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Metropol's supporters rose to their feet, but Ionuț Budianu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Michael Burman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Laxå FK booed when FC Metropol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conny Jönsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Ingemar Alefors recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl-Michael Burman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Metropol's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingemar Alefors was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Michael Burman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcus Hård hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Laxå FK's Karl-Michael Burman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Laxå FK from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingemar Alefors got free with Karl-Michael Burman in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Metropol played a much better game than Laxå FK and deserved their victory. The Laxå FK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
