The tension between the Husby-Rekarne FF and the Kyrkesund players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adrian Henriksson hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Dick Björkqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksander Lundström in the 8th minute of the match. The Kyrkesund fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Aleksander Lundström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dick Björkqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aleksander Lundström in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dick Björkqvist saved Husby-Rekarne FF from getting behind. After 24 played minutes, Husby-Rekarne FF's Kevin Ljungberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kennet Magnusson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Husby-Rekarne FF reached it. In the 27th minute of the match Torsten Högman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dick Björkqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Melker Wiman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Husby-Rekarne FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Melker Wiman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kennet Magnusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kennet Magnusson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melker Wiman in the 31st minute. The supporters of Kyrkesund booed when Husby-Rekarne FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Dahlqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Husby-Rekarne FF's Kevin Ljungberg tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 46 played minutes Husby-Rekarne FF got a freekick which was hit by Tor Aspengren. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aleksander Lundström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tommy Mårtensson charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommy Mårtensson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dick Björkqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arvid Berg in the 62nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Melker Wiman in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kennet Magnusson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Tommy Mårtensson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kennet Magnusson was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 70th minute Melker Wiman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kennet Magnusson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrian Henriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Husby-Rekarne FF fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Husby-Rekarne FF's Melker Wiman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kyrkesund succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Husby-Rekarne FF had controlled the match.
