Arvid Berg ran back to his position shaking his head. Kyrkesund's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Harald Haraldsson in the 44th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Markus Ekgren was the one to do the kick off. Kennet Magnusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Ekgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Kyrkesund's zone, Markus Ekgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kennet Magnusson came out of the goal and Markus Ekgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harald Haraldsson walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Ekgren in the 64th minute of play forced Kyrkesund's goalkeeper Kennet Magnusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Hellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Markus Ekgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Kyrkesund's goalie and right to Kevin Blomqvist. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Kyrkesund's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to Kyrkesund getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Harald Haraldsson hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by David Nyström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Åsbro eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
