The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Lennart Anundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Bengtsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Bengtsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Olofsson in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, Forsvik BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Algot Täman to maneuver through the defense. Robert Bengtsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Olofsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Timmy Blanck hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Robert Bengtsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dan Olofsson went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Båstad's Lennart Anundsson got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Bengtsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Olofsson in the 22nd minute of play. Lennart Anundsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Algot Täman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Maximilian Sigman made a huge save. Dan Olofsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Bengtsson having to interfere. Algot Täman succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 41st playminute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Låsberg during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dan Olofsson to make the kick off. Henry Pil hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Algot Täman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forsvik BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Algot Täman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximilian Sigman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Forsvik BK's Bertil Sjödin got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd match minute, Båstad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Pil to maneuver through the defense. Jörn Vinström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 63rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Forsvik BK's goalkeeper Robert Bengtsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Forsvik BK's goalkeeper Robert Bengtsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lennart Anundsson. With a little luck, Forsvik BK's Robert Bengtsson got control of the ball when Lennart Anundsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudolf Helander got free with Robert Bengtsson in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dan Olofsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Bengtsson having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Båstad players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Forsvik BK.
