After a defensive mix-up in Grytgöl's zone, Mats Åhlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timmy Vallander came out of the goal and Mats Åhlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Timmy Vallander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Åhlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The Sakumo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 47 played minutes Grytgöl got a freekick which was hit by Wictor Pettersson. The Grytgöl players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sakumo were winning 0-2.

Bengt-Åke Tunberg kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Arne Rolandsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Gunnarsson in the 56th minute of play. If Bengt Kellman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt Kellman got free with Timmy Vallander in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Stig-Arne Brask ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arne Rolandsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Timmy Vallander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herman Nyström, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Timmy Vallander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Örtendahl in the 71st minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Bengt Kellman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Timmy Vallander was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. If Herman Nyström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mats Åhlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Timmy Vallander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herman Nyström in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timmy Vallander saved Grytgöl from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Grytgöl's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Tunberg came free, but Timmy Vallander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Bengt Kellman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sakumo's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt Kellman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timmy Vallander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
