Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ulf Jonsson got the match started through his kick off. When Rutger Sandwall came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Åmål IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rutger Sandwall couldn't finish the play. Henning Elg charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henning Elg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Beckeman in the 9th minute of play forced Lögdeå's goalkeeper Ralf Täman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Lögdeå's Dick Falk got a free kick in the 12th minute. Orvar Lind stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolf Forss's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Rolf Forss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orvar Lind having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulf Jonsson in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orvar Lind saved Åmål IF from getting behind. 27 minutes into the game, Ulf Jonsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Orvar Lind. Ulf Jonsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Rolf Forss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes Åmål IF got a freekick which was hit by Allan Jonsson. Robin Colin succeeded in the game's 36th minute to get real power on a long shot . Åmål IF's Orvar Lind hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-0! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rutger Sandwall made the kick off in the second half. If Roy Beckeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 56 minutes, Per-Olof Ström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lögdeå and the Åmål IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lögdeå fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! After 60 played minutes Åmål IF got a freekick which was hit by Allan Jonsson. Roy Beckeman did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Ralf Täman 65 minutes into the match. Orvar Lind showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Forss, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Lögdeå's goalkeeper Ralf Täman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roy Beckeman. Rutger Sandwall was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Åmål IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some careless play in the Åmål IF defense, Rolf Forss kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orvar Lind. The Åmål IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orvar Lind should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lögdeå fans cheered their team off the field, for while Åmål IF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
