A collision led to Åmål IF getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Rutger Sandwall hit a great ball. Åmål IF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Thomas Olsson 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The supporters of Åmål IF booed when Arboga IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximilian Pihlwall didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Staffan Hedlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kent Lundström lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Åmål IF! When the match had been going on for 22 minutes, Arboga IK's Stellan Häger got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Orvar Lind. 26 minutes into the match, Arboga IK's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Beckeman came free, but Robert Wydrych reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Olsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Orvar Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roy Beckeman scored 2-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Wydrych, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 36 minutes into the match Thomas Olsson climbed in front of goal and pressed up 3-1 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Orvar Lind. Roy Beckeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Robert Wydrych tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Arboga IK's Maximilian Pihlwall got a free kick in the 42nd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Olsson was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Thomas Olsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orvar Lind was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. The supporters of Arboga IK booed when Åmål IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Jonsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Olsson in the 74th minute of play forced Åmål IF's goalkeeper Orvar Lind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Åmål IF's Erik Rang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Wydrych narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alo Uudevald kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The Åmål IF fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Åmål IF's Roy Beckeman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 85th minute, Stig Modig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orvar Lind stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Olsson's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 94thth minute of the game Thomas Olsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åmål IF's Orvar Lind was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Stig Modig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orvar Lind. Åmål IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig Modig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2.
