The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Källby's goalkeeper Torsten Alebom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Torsten Alebom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sonny Samuelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Mighty Kites FC's Sonny Samuelsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Torsten Alebom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Börje Holmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harald Hammarström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Olof Söderström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mighty Kites FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience was convinced that Sonny Samuelsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torsten Alebom was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Fredrik Björnberg's late challenge caught a Mighty Kites FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fredrik Björnberg helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Källby's Fredrik Björnberg got a free kick in the 26th minute. Börje Holmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Hammarström, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. George Forsberg struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Börje Holmgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Källby. In the 39thth minute of the game George Forsberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mighty Kites FC's Börje Holmgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Olof Söderström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Torsten Alebom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olof Söderström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Alebom having to interfere. Torsten Alebom came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Mighty Kites FC's Olof Söderström. But to his dismay, Olof Söderström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Mighty Kites FC's Birger Ahlqvist got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 65th match minute, Källby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Eskilsson to maneuver through the defense. When Mighty Kites FC's Olof Söderström, in the 66th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Mighty Kites FC. When Harald Hammarström came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Källby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harald Hammarström couldn't finish the play. George Forsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börje Holmgren having to interfere. Sven Eskilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Källby's Harald Hammarström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Börje Holmgren. That made the score 3-1 after 81 minutes of play. George Forsberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Börje Holmgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Marc Ekman's late challenge caught a Källby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marc Ekman helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Källby's zone, Olof Söderström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Alebom came out of the goal and Olof Söderström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Torsten Alebom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sonny Samuelsson in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torsten Alebom saved Källby from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the Källby players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mighty Kites FC.
