After a defensive mix-up in Rentjärn's zone, Elliott Stenkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Lustig came out of the goal and Elliott Stenkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Elliott Stenkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Söderlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Vidar Hagström made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Elliott Stenkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trixiborg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliott Stenkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Lustig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the match, Trixiborg FC's goalkeeper Vidar Hagström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arvid Allbom. Vidar Hagström made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Christian Söderlund sent off a good shot on target. Christian Söderlund's late challenge caught a Trixiborg FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Söderlund helped the player get up and apologised. Christian Söderlund hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Trixiborg FC's Melker Fanström in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored Rentjärn's protests and gave Marko Stenström a yellow card for diving instead. Melker Fanström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Arvid Allbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eric Lustig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melker Fanström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Melker Fanström to strike the kick off in the second half. Trixiborg FC's Vidar Hagström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Sillén in the 55th minute of play. Olof Wennerquist hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Arvid Allbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ludwig Grelsson during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rentjärn's Eric Lustig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Rentjärn from getting a goal against them. After 90 played minutes Rentjärn got a freekick which was hit by Marko Stenström. The long shot by George Vinström in the 90th minute really tested Eric Lustig's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rentjärn's Olof Torstensson got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eric Lustig made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Melker Fanström sent off a good shot on target.
