Älmhult BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Telin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sven-Oskar Unesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig Valrot made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Sven-Oskar Unesson sent off a good shot on target. Älmhult BF's Gustaf Blomkvist pulled a muscle in his leg after 38 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Sebastian Nordgren hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Sven-Oskar Unesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Kalvsvik IFK's zone, Sven-Oskar Unesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stig Valrot came out of the goal and Sven-Oskar Unesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Karl-Magnus Wall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tor Beneth in the 52nd minute of play. After 52 played minutes Älmhult BF got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Hammarström. Leif Wennerqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Magnus Wall having to make a save. If Tor Beneth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leif Wennerqvist got free with Karl-Magnus Wall in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Viggo Billström kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Leif Wennerqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Magnus Wall was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Patrick Telin hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The nice shot from Leif Wennerqvist in the 85thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Karl-Magnus Wall had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The supporters of Kalvsvik IFK booed when Älmhult BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Broman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Älmhult BF's goalkeeper Karl-Magnus Wall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leif Wennerqvist.
