After a rather tough play, Ersmarks IK's Markus Ahlström got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 10 minutes, Andy Carlberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ersmarks IK and the Älmhult BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Älmhult BF booed when Ersmarks IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy Carlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Birger Rydelius sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ludwig Tingberg skillfully saved the ball. In the 13th match minute, Älmhult BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Oskar Unesson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 20 minutes, Sven-Oskar Unesson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Älmhult BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Oskar Unesson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Arne Holmberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ersmarks IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Älmhult BF the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Älmhult BF's zone, Arne Holmberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Magnus Wall came out of the goal and Arne Holmberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Ersmarks IK's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Oskar Unesson came free, but Ludwig Tingberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Magnus Wall was a little too slow when Edward Eliasson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ludwig Tingberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Unesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, Ersmarks IK's Andy Carlberg got a free kick in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arne Holmberg was the one to do the kick off. Many of Älmhult BF's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Älmhult BF may have spent more time on the ball, but Ersmarks IK were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
