Olov Östensson's late challenge caught a Nödinge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olov Östensson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Nödinge booed when Årsunda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olov Östensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilgot Vase didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ralf Sundin went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Årsunda's Olov Östensson got a free kick in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Årsunda's zone, Jonas Stenkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilgot Vase came out of the goal and Jonas Stenkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Torgny Larsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenny Lustig, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute, Timmy Bjursell made a precise shot to the right of Torgny Larsson. Nödinge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Nödinge's Torgny Larsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Nödinge from getting a goal against them. Kenny Lustig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torgny Larsson having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Stenkvist got free with Vilgot Vase in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ralf Sundin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Vilgot Vase tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Timmy Bjursell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilgot Vase was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jonas Stenkvist showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 80 minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Årsunda's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Sundin came free, but Vilgot Vase reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nödinge's Walter Algren got a free kick in the 91st minute. 98 minutes into the match, Nödinge's goal looked a bit too open when Kenny Lustig came free, but Torgny Larsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
