The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Örjan Willig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bengt-Arne Martinsson. Vallåkra BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Örjan Willig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Joar Alebäck scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt-Arne Martinsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 17 minutes, Örjan Willig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandared IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Örjan Willig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sandared IK's Adrian Boström got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bengt-Arne Martinsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joar Alebäck's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Bengt-Arne Martinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Örjan Willig, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Bengt-Arne Martinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joar Alebäck in the 26th minute of the match. With a little luck, Sandared IK's Mårten Westerstrand got control of the ball when Nicklas Olofsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicklas Olofsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mårten Westerstrand having to interfere. Örjan Willig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Åke Ström kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Bengt-Arne Martinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Örjan Willig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Sandared IK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joar Alebäck made a kick off. If Joar Alebäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joar Alebäck spun around in front of the goal 55 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Vallåkra BK's goal. Karl-Magnus Johnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Örjan Willig got free with Bengt-Arne Martinsson in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Joar Alebäck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bengt-Arne Martinsson. Vallåkra BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joar Alebäck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 71 minutes, Åke Ström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vallåkra BK and the Sandared IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Vallåkra BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Åke Ström to maneuver through the defense. Örjan Willig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bengt-Arne Martinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Örjan Willig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joakim Trillkott charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joakim Trillkott the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vallåkra BK getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Joakim Trillkott hit a great ball. If Örjan Willig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sandared IK's Joar Alebäck in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vallåkra BK's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vallåkra BK's zone, Örjan Willig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt-Arne Martinsson came out of the goal and Örjan Willig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Magnus Johnsson during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Karl-Magnus Johnsson hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vallåkra BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kenneth Josefsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Sandared IK's players had a chance to rest. Sandared IK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
