Oxelösund's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Michel Nykvist in the 8th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Melker Kinnman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vikingstad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oxelösund the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Vikingstad:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Oxelösund:s goal. After a rather tough play, Vikingstad's Marc Beneth got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience was convinced that Georg Tingberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timmy Lundin was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Georg Tingberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Timmy Lundin having to make a save. After some careless play in the Vikingstad defense, Georg Tingberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Timmy Lundin. The Vikingstad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timmy Lundin should have stopped the shot. When Malcolm Myhr came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Vikingstad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malcolm Myhr couldn't finish the play. Villiam Siggman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Burman in the 29th minute of play. Malcolm Myhr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Kenneth Stål hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Vikingstad's Kjell Burman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Villiam Siggman. Villiam Siggman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Timmy Lundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Erik Boman in the 42nd minute of play. Villiam Siggman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Burman in the 45th minute of the match. Villiam Siggman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell Burman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 56 minutes of play Vikingstad's Melker Kinnman was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Timmy Lundin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Georg Tingberg's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl-Erik Boman got free with Timmy Lundin in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Vikingstad defense, Georg Tingberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Timmy Lundin. The Vikingstad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timmy Lundin should have stopped the shot. Georg Tingberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timmy Lundin having to interfere. Karl-Erik Boman in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Timmy Lundin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georg Tingberg in the 87th minute of play forced Vikingstad's goalkeeper Timmy Lundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute of the match, Georg Tingberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Timmy Lundin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Vikingstad supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Oxelösund's performance. The match ended with a win for Oxelösund.
