Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Albin Vallander took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mats Bocklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Per-Erik Brandin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Åke Palmkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Kurt Ödmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kumla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hova the free kick. The goalkeeper, Jimmie Wallander, was totally fooled by Hova's Evert Bern, who 17 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Mats Bocklund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Karl-Åke Palmkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Åke Palmkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute, Rickard Broberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rickard Brobergs short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Jimmie Wallander to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Mats Bocklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michael Hellström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michael Hellström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes, Kumla's Oskar Falkrantz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Per-Erik Brandin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kumla reached it. The supporters of Kumla booed when Hova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Vallander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Kumla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Hellström to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Albin Vallander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimmie Wallander was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 78 minutes into the match, Kumla's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Vallander came free, but Jimmie Wallander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Elliott Wennersten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kumla the free kick. In the 90th minute, Mats Bocklund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kumla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Hova's zone, Mats Bocklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Erik Brandin came out of the goal and Mats Bocklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hova were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kumla for a fine match.
