Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Esbjörn Martinsson kicked off to start the match. Kåre Kullander struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Vincent Westerberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sleepy Neanderthals. Allan Fastesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Allan Fastesson came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Sleepy Neanderthals fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Fastesson couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Sleepy Neanderthals's Viggo Alefors got control of the ball when Karl-Axel Dahlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Sleepy Neanderthals getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Max Nordin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kåre Kullander in the 16th minute of play forced Övertorneå's goalkeeper Vincent Westerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernt Forss charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernt Forss the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Övertorneå was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Forss to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Övertorneå booed when Sleepy Neanderthals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Smefeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kåre Kullander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vincent Westerberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Allan Fastesson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vincent Westerberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sleepy Neanderthals's zone, Esbjörn Martinsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viggo Alefors came out of the goal and Esbjörn Martinsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Sleepy Neanderthals's Viggo Alefors got control of the ball when Karl-Axel Dahlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute, Sleepy Neanderthals's Kåre Kullander fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Vincent Westerberg was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Allan Fastesson made the kick off in the second half. When Kåre Kullander came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Sleepy Neanderthals fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kåre Kullander couldn't finish the play. Bernt Forss got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Övertorneå's Bernt Forss got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Allan Fastesson came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Sleepy Neanderthals fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Fastesson couldn't finish the play. Allan Fastesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vincent Westerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Fastesson in the 66th minute of play. Bengt Smefeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Sven-Oskar Möller sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sleepy Neanderthals's Viggo Alefors didn't even have to move. A collision led to Övertorneå getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Karl-Axel Odeen hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sleepy Neanderthals's zone, Karl-Axel Dahlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viggo Alefors came out of the goal and Karl-Axel Dahlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kåre Kullander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Westerberg having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Kåre Kullander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vincent Westerberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Övertorneå supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sleepy Neanderthals's performance. The match ended with a win for Sleepy Neanderthals.
