Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eric Jonsson kicked off to start the match. Henning Alefors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Torsten Holmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Skövde's Torsten Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henning Alefors in the 14th minute of play. Eric Jonsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Robin Myr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Forsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Skövde's goalkeeper Torsten Holmberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 27 minutes, Tommy Barck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västerås fotboll klubb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Barck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Torsten Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henning Alefors, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Tommy Barck struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Torsten Holmberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Västerås fotboll klubb. After having played for 32 minutes, Henning Alefors managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västerås fotboll klubb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henning Alefors was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Skövde's zone, Tommy Barck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Holmberg came out of the goal and Tommy Barck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If John Gustafsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tommy Barck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Holmberg having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henning Alefors to make the kick off. After having played for 60 minutes, Tommy Barck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västerås fotboll klubb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Barck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Västerås fotboll klubb's Robin Myr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Jonsson in the 72nd minute of play. Torsten Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henning Alefors, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Tommy Barck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Henning Alefors managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västerås fotboll klubb's supporters rose to their feet, but Henning Alefors was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torsten Holmberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henning Alefors in the 89th minute of play forced Skövde's goalkeeper Torsten Holmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes Skövde's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was John Gustafsson who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that John Gustafsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Torsten Holmberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 96th minute, Leo Kalfhage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Västerås fotboll klubb fully deserved thier win.
