After a defensive mix-up in Skövde's zone, Jens-Åke Lövskog stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Holmberg came out of the goal and Jens-Åke Lövskog tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jens-Åke Lövskog recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Jens-Åke Lövskog made a precise shot to the right of Torsten Holmberg. Skövde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Skövde's Eric Jonsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jens-Erik Forssell. That made the score 1-1 after 22 minutes of play. Torsten Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Åke Lövskog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes Skövde got a freekick which was hit by Sven Forsberg. In the 31st minute, Brian Öman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magnus Paulin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Ludvig Christoffersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Köpingsvik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skövde the free kick. A collision led to Köpingsvik getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Köpingsvik's Magnus Paulin got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Skövde getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Sven Forsberg hit a great ball. In the 49th minute, Magnus Paulin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eric Jonsson made a kick off. Magnus Paulin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jörgen Billström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Magnus Paulin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Torsten Holmberg having to make a save. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skövde's goalkeeper Torsten Holmberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Torsten Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magnus Paulin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Skövde's Torsten Holmberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Skövde from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute Magnus Paulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Holmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Köpingsvik's Magnus Paulin got a free kick in the 89th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eric Jonsson in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens-Erik Forssell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jens-Erik Forssell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Jonsson in the 92nd minute of play. Jörgen Billström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jens-Erik Forssell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Köpingsvik players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Skövde from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
