John Hellström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Högström in the 4th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Örby's goal looked a bit too open when Inge Vallmark came free, but Gösta Eklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tärnsjö's Fredric Smed got a free kick in the 10th minute. Örby's Gösta Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esbjörn Smefeldt in the 20th minute of play. If Andreas Högström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Esbjörn Smefeldt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Örby's Gösta Eklund. Gösta Eklund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd minute, Andreas Högström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. John Hellström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Högström in the 34th minute of the match. If Inge Vallmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg John Hellström managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Örby's Patrik Tidén fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andreas Högström made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Örby's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Inge Vallmark fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 54 minutes into the match, Esbjörn Smefeldt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gösta Eklund, 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Andreas Högström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Örby's supporters rose to their feet, but Andreas Högström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Hellström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esbjörn Smefeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gösta Eklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Högström in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrik Tidén in the 78th minute of play forced Tärnsjö's goalkeeper John Hellström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Patrik Tidén ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Hellström was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Esbjörn Smefeldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gösta Eklund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Esbjörn Smefeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Gösta Eklund successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Esbjörn Smefeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gösta Eklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrik Tidén's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Hellström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
