If Daniel Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilgot Ahlin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Piteå IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! Karl-Erik Bollström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Brun in the 24th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Jens-Åke Lägdin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Karl-Erik Bollström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 35th match minute, Piteå IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Örn to maneuver through the defense. Ivar Brun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Erik Bollström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Karl-Erik Bollström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivar Brun, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Piteå IF's zone, Jens-Åke Lägdin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Erik Bollström came out of the goal and Jens-Åke Lägdin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the game, Osvald Ekblom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piteå IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Söderåkra the free kick. Söderåkra were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Piteå IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Filiph Björklund took the corner. The corner led Söderåkra's Ivar Brun to a score. 0-3 in the 44th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Piteå IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Brun came free, but Karl-Erik Bollström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 49th minute Ivar Brun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Bollström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Örjan Löfgren to strike the kick off in the second half. If Jens-Åke Lägdin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pontus Thorsberg during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Söderåkra booed when Piteå IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pontus Thorsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Piteå IF's Pontus Thorsberg got a free kick in the 56th minute. Filiph Björklund, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jens-Åke Lägdin might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl-Erik Bollström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jens-Åke Lägdin ran back to his position shaking his head. Örjan Löfgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernt Hedlund having to interfere. Ivar Brun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Karl-Erik Bollström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Söderåkra's zone, Örjan Löfgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernt Hedlund came out of the goal and Örjan Löfgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the match, Söderåkra's goal looked a bit too open when Osvald Ekblom came free, but Bernt Hedlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Piteå IF's Karl-Erik Bollström got control of the ball when Filiph Björklund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bernt Hedlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Löfgren in the 81st minute of play. If Ivar Brun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Piteå IF's Karl-Erik Bollström got control of the ball when Jens-Åke Lägdin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karl-Erik Bollström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Brun in the 94th minute of play.
