Thor Tham charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thor Tham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maximilian Källberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sören Lindblom having to interfere. Lars-Erik Lundgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sören Lindblom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars-Erik Lundgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Ludvika's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Maximilian Källberg scored to the left of an out of position Sören Lindblom, making the score, 1-0. If Lars-Erik Lundgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Östra Frölunda's zone, Mathias Wästerberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Pil came out of the goal and Mathias Wästerberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 17 played minutes Ludvika got a freekick which was hit by Thor Tham. Adam Vennerlund charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adam Vennerlund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th minute Krister Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Pil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias Wästerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Birger Pil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Krister Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Pil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Krister Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Ludvika were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximilian Källberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Mathias Wästerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Birger Pil made a huge save. Krister Johnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Pil having to interfere. 67 minutes in the game, Mathias Wästerberg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Birger Pil having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Östra Frölunda's goalkeeper Birger Pil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mathias Wästerberg. With his leg Birger Pil managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Ludvika's Mathias Wästerberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 85th minute, Krister Johnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Krister Johnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Pil having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Maximilian Källberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
