After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Tor Berg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Byske BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Tor Berg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mårten Ingvall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Vilhelm Almqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes Byske BF got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Svartengren. 38 minutes into the match, Östervåla's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Nyman came free, but Mårten Ingvall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mårten Ingvall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ragnar Nyman's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Byske BF's Göran Göransson pulled a muscle in his leg after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Niklas Vennerlund charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niklas Vennerlund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Niklas Vennerlund kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 44th minute, but Mårten Ingvall got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Östervåla hanging dry this time. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 50th match minute, Byske BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Bergman to maneuver through the defense. Vilhelm Almqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petter Koch struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Robin Lund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Östervåla. Einar Löv took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mårten Ingvall. Östervåla's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tor Berg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Mårten Ingvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sivert Bergman during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sivert Bergman hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Byske BF's Tor Berg got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tor Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ragnar Nyman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tor Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mårten Ingvall having to interfere. After some careless play in the Östervåla defense, Tor Berg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mårten Ingvall. The Östervåla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mårten Ingvall should have stopped the shot. Mårten Ingvall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tor Berg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mårten Ingvall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
