In the 3rd match minute, Gärds köpinge IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Hult to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Pauliström IK's Torbjörn Målare got control of the ball when Joakim Westerstrand tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 8 played minutes Pauliström IK got a freekick which was hit by Dan Magnusson. Torbjörn Målare made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Joakim Westerstrand sent off a good shot on target. Hannes Lindqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Dahlbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolf Dahlbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Dahlbom in the 19th minute of play forced Gärds köpinge IFK's goalkeeper Hannes Lindqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Helge Frykberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 28 minutes of play, Pauliström IK's Rolf Dahlbom made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hannes Lindqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rolf Dahlbom scored 1-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hannes Lindqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Helge Frykberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Torbjörn Målare having to make a save. After having played for 45 minutes, Joakim Westerstrand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gärds köpinge IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joakim Westerstrand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pauliström IK's zone, Helge Frykberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torbjörn Målare came out of the goal and Helge Frykberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Helge Frykberg made the kick off in the second half. Rolf Dahlbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolf Dahlbom in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hannes Lindqvist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 61st minute, one of Pauliström IK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pauliström IK. Krister Bokelund shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When Wictor Dahlquist came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Gärds köpinge IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wictor Dahlquist couldn't finish the play. Torbjörn Målare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helge Frykberg in the 69th minute of the match. If Joakim Westerstrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Gärds köpinge IFK booed when Pauliström IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claes Kämpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rolf Dahlbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Osvald Josefsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torbjörn Målare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helge Frykberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 95th minute, Osvald Josefsson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hannes Lindqvist, passed just outside the right post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pauliström IK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
