Åsensbruk BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunnar Kullander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andréas Mellbad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Algot Askberg in the 15th minute of the match. When Gunnar Kullander came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Åsensbruk BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunnar Kullander couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Algot Askberg in the 21st minute of play forced Åsensbruk BK's goalkeeper Andréas Mellbad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Gunnar Kullander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dan Ekman was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Åsensbruk BK's Rutger Finsberg got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Algot Askberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åsensbruk BK's Andréas Mellbad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Algot Askberg in the 32nd minute of play. When Bengt-Åke Gallin came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Åsensbruk BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Åke Gallin couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the match, Ljungbyhed's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Gallin came free, but Dan Ekman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunnar Kullander in the 44th minute of play forced Ljungbyhed's goalkeeper Dan Ekman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ljungbyhed's Algot Askberg managed to work through Åsensbruk BK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Algot Askberg dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bengt-Åke Gallin made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bengt-Åke Gallin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dan Ekman, passed just outside the right post. After 53 played minutes Ljungbyhed got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Lundin. Gunnar Kullander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Dan Ekman made a huge save. Åsensbruk BK's Andréas Mellbad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arman Lindman in the 63rd minute of play. Bengt-Åke Gallin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 67th minute. Åsensbruk BK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rutger Finsberg during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Åsensbruk BK getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Rutger Finsberg hit a great ball. Arman Lindman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Åsensbruk BK's Rutger Finsberg got a free kick in the 81st minute. Andréas Mellbad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arman Lindman, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Vidar Arenius struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Dan Ekman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åsensbruk BK. Algot Askberg charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Algot Askberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Algot Askberg hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
