Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Anders Låsberg kicked off to start the match. After 15 played minutes Älvsered got a freekick which was hit by Anders Låsberg. 1-1 became the score in the 17th minute when Rickard Beckeman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Mellerud booed when Älvsered was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Östen Mårtensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Beckeman in the 25th minute of play forced Älvsered's goalkeeper Ivan Collin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Lövkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ivan Collin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Melker Larsson came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Älvsered fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melker Larsson couldn't finish the play. Sten Arenberg made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Melker Larsson sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 40 minutes, Melker Larsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Älvsered's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melker Larsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anders Låsberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sten Arenberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
In the 52nd minute Rickard Beckeman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Collin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melker Larsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Sten Arenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 minutes of play Älvsered's Östen Mårtensson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Älvsered's Melker Larsson got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sten Arenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melker Larsson in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Älvsered's goal looked a bit too open when Rickard Beckeman came free, but Ivan Collin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Lövkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Victor Lövkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
