Yngve Lund was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stellan Lindqvist showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. If Edvard Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gnesta's Filip Forsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvard Samuelsson in the 19th minute of play. If Benjamin Stenström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvard Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Alfred Svanberg came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Gnesta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Svanberg couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Gnesta's Yngve Lund threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stellan Lindqvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Eslöv's Rune Bjursell got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Stellan Lindqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yngve Lund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stellan Lindqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ted Åman hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, Benjamin Stenström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Filip Forsberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Stenström to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Eslöv's zone, Kåre Björk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yngve Lund came out of the goal and Kåre Björk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yngve Lund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stellan Lindqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute Benjamin Stenström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvard Samuelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Filip Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Gnesta's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edvard Samuelsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Gnesta's Filip Forsberg got control of the ball when Edvard Samuelsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76thth minute of the game Benjamin Stenström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gnesta's Filip Forsberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan-Erik Björkdahl's late challenge caught a Eslöv's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan-Erik Björkdahl helped the player get up and apologised. Jan-Erik Björkdahl kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Gnesta got a freekick which was hit by Alf Östman. Edvard Samuelsson scored 2-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filip Forsberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benjamin Stenström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Filip Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvard Samuelsson got free with Filip Forsberg in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 90 minutes, Rune Bjursell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eslöv and the Gnesta players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gnesta booed when Eslöv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Bjursell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Stenström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Forsberg having to interfere.
