After 2 played minutes Karlholmsbruk IF got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Biörk. After having played for 6 minutes, Erik Hääger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karlholmsbruk IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Hääger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johannes Häger succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Johannes Häger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Vallgren having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Vännäs BK's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Hääger came free, but Svante Josefsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johannes Häger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sven Vallgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Björn Isaksson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven Vallgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Häger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jan-Erik Hjortberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Björn Isaksson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sven Vallgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 38 played minutes Karlholmsbruk IF got a freekick which was hit by Claes Åhlberg. In the 41st minute of the match Vännäs BK got a corner. Karlholmsbruk IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valter Alfors ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sverker Henriksson got in the 42nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Sven Vallgren handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Björn Isaksson to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Karlholmsbruk IF getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Claes Åhlberg hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Vännäs BK's Valter Alfors broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Björn Isaksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the game, Björn Isaksson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sven Vallgren. Björn Isaksson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. With a little luck, Karlholmsbruk IF's Sven Vallgren got control of the ball when Johannes Häger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Johannes Häger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karlholmsbruk IF's Sven Vallgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Karlholmsbruk IF from getting a goal against them. Johannes Hägers short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Sven Vallgren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Johannes Häger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 98thth minute tested the skills of Sven Vallgren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 99 minutes, Sven Vallgren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vännäs BK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
