Gaston Etxepare hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Berggren in the 7th minute of play forced Håcksvik's goalkeeper Per-Arne Bergstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Stångby BK's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Michael Västberg came free, but Edmund Österberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Håcksvik's Karl-Michael Västberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmund Österberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 18 minutes of play, Stångby BK's Egil Colin made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Per-Arne Bergstedt was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Håcksvik's goalkeeper Per-Arne Bergstedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edmund Österberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sture Tingelholm in the 27th minute of play. Edmund Danielsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Arne Bergstedt having to interfere. Edmund Österberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sture Tingelholm, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Roger Berggren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stångby BK's Edmund Österberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linus Malmberg in the 33rd minute of play. Edmund Österberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sture Tingelholm in the 38th minute of play. Per-Arne Bergstedt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmund Danielsson's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. 42 minutes in the game, Edmund Danielsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Per-Arne Bergstedt having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Egil Colin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stångby BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egil Colin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Egil Colin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Egil Colin might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Per-Arne Bergstedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egil Colin ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmund Danielsson to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Håcksvik's Sture Tingelholm got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Torsten Runeberg fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Håcksvik's protests and gave Torsten Runeberg a yellow card for diving instead. Egil Colin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Per-Arne Bergstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Stångby BK's Edmund Österberg got control of the ball when Linus Malmberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmund Danielsson in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per-Arne Bergstedt saved Håcksvik from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Håcksvik's Karl-Michael Västberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. The supporters of Stångby BK booed when Håcksvik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Bure didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per-Arne Bergstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egil Colin, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Håcksvik's Per-Arne Bergstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Colin in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of Stångby BK booed when Håcksvik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Holmberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Stångby BK's Egil Colin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Per-Arne Bergstedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-4. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Stångby BK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
