Robert Gerdberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Sven-Arne Öberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anderstorp BF's Sven-Arne Öberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Lindberg in the 14th minute of play. If Robert Gerdberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes Hallaryd FK got a freekick which was hit by Eskil Falck. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Håkansson in the 32nd minute of play forced Hallaryd FK's goalkeeper Leif Lind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leif Lind showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Lövgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 44th minute Hans Håkansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Lind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Lennart Lindberg sped through Anderstorp BF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sven-Arne Öberg. If Hans Håkansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
