After 7 played minutes Hok IK got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Alfors. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Örjan Stålberg in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vilgot Askestät saved Åsa from getting behind. In the 13th minute, Ingemar Kvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Jansson in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Åke Esbjörnsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 17 played minutes Hok IK got a freekick which was hit by Gustaf Hääger. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Jansson in the 18th minute of play forced Hok IK's goalkeeper Åke Esbjörnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Moberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Åke Esbjörnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Åke Esbjörnsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Jansson's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Emanuel Bengtsson struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Vilgot Askestät didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hok IK. Hok IK's Åke Esbjörnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Jansson in the 38th minute of play. Karl-Oskar Martinsson hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Emanuel Bengtsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Vilgot Askestät made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Jansson made a kick off. If Örjan Stålberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michael Moberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Åke Esbjörnsson made a huge save. Åke Esbjörnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Emanuel Bengtsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute Örjan Stålberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilgot Askestät saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Åsa's Vilgot Askestät played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Bengtsson in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Åsa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Billy Jonsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Hok IK's players had a chance to rest. After 96 played minutes Åsa got a freekick which was hit by Walter Edström. Hok IK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
