Marcus Wall hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Söderköping's Isac Hansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Söderköping from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the game, Söderköping's Kim Vennerlund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric Josefsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gösta Bergström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 30 played minutes Brastad FK got a freekick which was hit by Birger Vennerberg. In the 31st minute Gösta Bergström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Josefsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Dick Juhlin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Isac Hansson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcus Wall charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Eric Josefsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Vennerlund in the 49th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ted Kristiansson made a kick off. Kim Vennerlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Eric Josefsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Söderköping's Gösta Bergström got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gösta Bergström received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eric Josefsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Gösta Bergström slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 64th minute. Brastad FK's Ted Kristiansson got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the game, Kim Vennerlund recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eric Josefsson. Kim Vennerlund showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Ted Kristiansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Josefsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Vennerlund in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Karl-Ove Abrahamsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Söderköping's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brastad FK the free kick. After a rather tough play, Söderköping's Karl-Ove Abrahamsson got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Isac Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dick Juhlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Söderköping's goal looked a bit too open when Dick Juhlin came free, but Isac Hansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Juhlin in the 87th minute of play forced Söderköping's goalkeeper Isac Hansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isac Hansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ted Kristiansson's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Kim Vennerlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
