Eric Josefsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Magnus Johnsson in the 4th minute of play. Eric Josefsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Löfdahl in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Martin Löfdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Josefsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Löfdahl struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Eric Josefsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mjöbäck. After 12 minutes, Folke Sjödin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brastad FK and the Mjöbäck players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mjöbäck booed when Brastad FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Sjödin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ted Kristiansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Söderman having to interfere. Ted Kristiansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ted Kristiansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jim Söderman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mjöbäck's Jim Söderman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Kristiansson in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute Karl-Magnus Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Josefsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Martin Löfdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Karl-Magnus Johnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Martin Löfdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Brastad FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mjöbäck were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ted Kristiansson to strike the kick off in the second half. Egil Hammarbäck's late challenge caught a Brastad FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egil Hammarbäck helped the player get up and apologised. 53 minutes into the game, Jörgen Olsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brastad FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mjöbäck the free kick. Martin Löfdahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Eric Josefsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 60th minute when Ted Kristiansson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tommy Lönn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Josefsson having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Brastad FK's goalkeeper Eric Josefsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Magnus Johnsson. In the 71stth minute of the game Martin Löfdahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brastad FK's Eric Josefsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Dick Juhlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brastad FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dick Juhlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl-Magnus Johnsson got free with Eric Josefsson in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Karl-Magnus Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mjöbäck's Martin Löfdahl in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brastad FK's goalie prevented a goal. If Dick Juhlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Vennerberg in the 89th minute of play forced Mjöbäck's goalkeeper Jim Söderman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Josefsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Magnus Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Löfdahl in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Josefsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
