Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Per-Åke Henriksson got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Beneth in the 4th minute of play forced Sandviken FK's goalkeeper Tor Ståhlman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Per-Åke Henriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Ståhlman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tage Torstensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarl Sefastsson in the 13th minute of play. Rune Beneth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 18 minutes, Per-Åke Henriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karlsborgsverken RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per-Åke Henriksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rune Beneth might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tor Ståhlman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Beneth ran back to his position shaking his head. Jarl Sefastsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 27 played minutes Sandviken FK got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Ola Lindberg. Isac Lundberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tor Ståhlman. Sandviken FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Walter Sundström struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Tage Torstensson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandviken FK. The supporters of Karlsborgsverken RK booed when Sandviken FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Ola Lindberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Rune Beneth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karlsborgsverken RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Walter Sundström could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which Tage Torstensson however easily saved by the left post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jarl Sefastsson made a kick off. Per-Åke Henriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Åke Henriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor Ståhlman having to interfere. Jens-Ola Lindberg hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Ernst Clementsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tor Ståhlman made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Rune Beneth sent off a good shot on target. Tor Ståhlman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Åke Henriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Damm hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Per-Åke Henriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karlsborgsverken RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Åke Henriksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tor Ståhlman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per-Åke Henriksson in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tor Ståhlman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Sandviken FK's Tor Ståhlman got control of the ball when Rune Beneth tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Karlsborgsverken RK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
