Erik Grelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bengt-Rune Hultin in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joacim Westerstrand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bengt-Rune Hultin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joacim Westerstrand came out of the goal and Magnus Kinell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bengt-Rune Hultin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Gävle BK defense, Bengt-Rune Hultin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joacim Westerstrand. The Gävle BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joacim Westerstrand should have stopped the shot. Joacim Westerstrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Rune Hultin in the 44th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars-Erik Bollström got free with Lars-Erik Ugla in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carl Valler made a kick off. Carl Valler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Lars-Erik Ugla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rökå BF's Stig-Arne Hedlund got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Lars-Erik Ugla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Valler, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Bengt-Rune Hultin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Erik Grelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Lars-Erik Bollström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
