Gösta Olsson charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gösta Olsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Markus Josefsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karlsborgsverken FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Markus Josefsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonny Winström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karlsborgsverken FK's Per Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uno Alén in the 26th minute of play. Uno Alén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Gunnarsson having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Karlsborgsverken FK's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Olsson came free, but Per Gunnarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 minutes, Harry Nordgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karlsborgsverken FK and the Övertorneå RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Karlsborgsverken FK's Harry Nordgren got a free kick in the 34th minute. Uno Alén's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Per Gunnarsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Gösta Olsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Gösta Olsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Övertorneå RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Per Holmstedt was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Gösta Olsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Markus Josefsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonny Winström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonny Winström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Nordgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Uno Alén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Karlsborgsverken FK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Harry Nordgren hit a great ball. Per Holmstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonny Winström having to interfere. The Karlsborgsverken FK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Övertorneå RK's performance. The match ended with a win for Övertorneå RK.
