In the 3rd minute, Jan Ekström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Urban Andersson's late challenge caught a Karlholmsbruk IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Jan Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobias Gunnarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jan-Olof Klementsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Skänninge IFK's Edvard Aronsson got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Börje Sandström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Karlholmsbruk IFK's goalkeeper Hubert Löfgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dennis Ahlroht. After a defensive mix-up in Skänninge IFK's zone, Tobias Gunnarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Olof Klementsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Ekström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven Olsmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tobias Gunnarsson in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan-Olof Klementsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan-Olof Klementsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tobias Gunnarsson's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. When Fredric Lindmark fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karlholmsbruk IFK's protests and gave Fredric Lindmark a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd match minute, Karlholmsbruk IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredric Lindmark to maneuver through the defense. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jan-Olof Klementsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
