Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sven Olsmann made the kick off which started today's match. Kurt Källberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jan-Olof Klementsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sven Olsmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tage Höijer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Ahlroht in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Olsmann in the 15th minute of play forced Sörsjön's goalkeeper Tage Höijer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 minutes of play, Skänninge IFK's Edvard Aronsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tage Höijer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tage Höijer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Ahlroht in the 23rd minute of play. After 31 played minutes Orvar Lund rounded Skänninge IFK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Magne Lindberg's late challenge caught a Sörsjön's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Magne Lindberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Skänninge IFK got a freekick which was hit by Magne Lindberg. After a rather tough play, Sörsjön's Orvar Lund got a free kick in the 38th minute. Dennis Ahlroht might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tage Höijer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dennis Ahlroht ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orvar Lund to strike the kick off in the second half. Kurt Källberg struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Jan-Olof Klementsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sörsjön. Jan-Olof Klementsson came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Sörsjön's Roger Ekström. But to his dismay, Roger Ekström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Sörsjön's Tage Höijer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Sörsjön from getting a goal against them. Dennis Ahlroht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Tage Höijer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Skänninge IFK's Sven Olsmann got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edvard Aronsson hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sörsjön getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Börje Sjögren hit a great ball. If Dennis Ahlroht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Källberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Olof Klementsson having to interfere. A collision led to Skänninge IFK getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Allan Almstedt hit a great ball. Magne Lindberg got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 90 played minutes, Sörsjön's Bertil Boström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan-Olof Klementsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sörsjön reached it. If Kurt Källberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sörsjön had won after a very even match.
