The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicklas Söderquist during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tage Trillkott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rasmus Vester in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Evert Kvick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tage Trillkott was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Tvärred's Lennart Norberg got a free kick in the 20th minute. Birger Ennegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rasmus Vester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Tage Trillkott managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Tvärred's Rasmus Vester fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Börje Bäckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Tvärred's goal looked a bit too open when Birger Ennegren came free, but George Lilja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Lilja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjell-Arne Nord, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kjell-Arne Nord stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evert Kvick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tage Trillkott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Börje Bäckman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tråvad IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Börje Bäckman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George Lilja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 65 played minutes Tråvad IF got a freekick which was hit by Börje Bäckman. Tvärred's George Lilja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Tvärred from getting a goal against them. Birger Ennegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. George Lilja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Tråvad IF's Birger Ennegren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that George Lilja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Tvärred was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Norberg to maneuver through the defense. Birger Ennegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tvärred fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tråvad IF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
