In the 10th minute, Dennis Sundin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rasmus Vester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th match minute, Tvärred was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Stenberg to maneuver through the defense. Vilgot Bock kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Rasmus Vester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jim Svanér took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jens-Ove Nyberg. Lappträsk's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Evert Kvick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ove Nyberg having to interfere. Rasmus Vester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 36 minutes, Tony Wallander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lappträsk and the Tvärred players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lappträsk getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Tony Wallander hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rasmus Vester in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens-Ove Nyberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Dennis Sundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Kellman to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Lappträsk were awarded a corner. Egil Björk went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Egil Björk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this George Lilja quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lennart Norberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rasmus Vester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evert Kvick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jens-Ove Nyberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens-Ove Nyberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Evert Kvick showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 70 minute of play. George Lilja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Kellman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evert Kvick struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Jens-Ove Nyberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tvärred. Lappträsk's Christian Kellman got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Lappträsk booed when Tvärred was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börje Qvarnström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lappträsk's Jens-Ove Nyberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Lappträsk from getting a goal against them. Tvärred's Lennart Norberg got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 91 played minutes Lappträsk got a freekick which was hit by Jimmie Fernkvist. If Evert Kvick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lappträsk's Egil Rydelius got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Tvärred players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
