Axel Ekenberg charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Ekenberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Axel Ekenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Ekenberg hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Marcus Enegren, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Axel Ekenberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 8 minutes had been played. After 8 played minutes Örträsk IK got a freekick which was hit by Axel Ekenberg. If Tony Thorsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 12 minutes, Tony Thorsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Virsbo IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Thorsberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virsbo IK's Tony Thorsberg got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 23 in the game by Tony Thorsberg from a close distance when the talented Rolf Blomkvist managed to make a qualified save. Örträsk IK's players were relieved. Rolf Blomkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Finnman in the 30th minute of play. Örträsk IK's Rolf Blomkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Finnman in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Örträsk IK getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Karl Stål hit a great ball. Rolf Blomkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig-Åke Finnman's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Örträsk IK's zone, Stig-Åke Finnman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Blomkvist came out of the goal and Stig-Åke Finnman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stig-Åke Finnman made a kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Virsbo IK's Stig-Åke Finnman made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolf Blomkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Virsbo IK's Sven-Arne Hjälm got a free kick in the 54th minute. 60 minutes into the game, one of Örträsk IK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Knut Thedin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Lundin in the 93rd minute of play forced Örträsk IK's goalkeeper Rolf Blomkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Tony Thorsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
