In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Virsbo IK's goalkeeper Jens Bank, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kalle Vase sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viktor Gadd during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stig-Åke Finnman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Benett having to interfere. Otto Benett came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Virsbo IK's Tony Thorsberg. But to his dismay, Tony Thorsberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Norrtälje IF's Otto Benett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Thorsberg in the 37th minute of play. If Kalle Vase had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otto Benett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Thorsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Tony Thorsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Otto Benett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stefan Smed was the one to do the kick off. Stig-Åke Finnman struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Otto Benett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virsbo IK. After a rather tough play, Norrtälje IF's Jonatan Blixt got a free kick in the 55th minute. Tony Thorsberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Otto Benett made a huge save. After some careless play in the Virsbo IK defense, Jon Wallin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jens Bank. The Virsbo IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jens Bank should have stopped the shot. Sven-Arne Hjälm hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Jon Wallin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jens Bank stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan Smed's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Jon Wallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens Bank having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Kalle Vase managed to get in a good position for a shot. Norrtälje IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kalle Vase was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens Bank breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viktor Gadd hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Virsbo IK's goalkeeper Jens Bank, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
