In the 3rd minute, Henning Ödman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erik Lundgren. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 9th minute, Sven-Arne Nyström made a precise shot to the right of Sven-Erik Siöberg. Täby BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ulricehamn FF's Erik Lundgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Ulricehamn FF from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Arne Nyström in the 14th minute of play forced Täby BK's goalkeeper Sven-Erik Siöberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Per-Oskar Björk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Lundgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Täby BK's Sven-Erik Siöberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Arne Nyström in the 20th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Per-Oskar Björk put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Erik Lundgren. Sven-Erik Siöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malte Lidström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Täby BK's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Olof Fagrell came free, but Sven-Erik Siöberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Jan-Olof Fagrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Erik Siöberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes, Sven-Arne Nyström made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Täby BK's Sven-Erik Siöberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jörgen Godholm took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sven-Erik Siöberg. Täby BK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Per-Oskar Björk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Lundgren having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Per-Oskar Björk was the one to do the kick off. Sven-Erik Siöberg made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Sven-Arne Nyström sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malte Lidström in the 56th minute of play forced Täby BK's goalkeeper Sven-Erik Siöberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Ulricehamn FF's Hjalmar Söderberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hjalmar Söderberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ulricehamn FF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hjalmar Söderberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 57th minute, one of Ulricehamn FF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ulricehamn FF. Erik Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torsten Josefsson in the 65th minute of the match. Sven-Arne Nyström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Per-Oskar Björk sped through Ulricehamn FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erik Lundgren. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per-Oskar Björk in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Lundgren saved Ulricehamn FF from getting behind. Sven-Arne Nyström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Sven-Erik Siöberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per-Oskar Björk in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Lundgren saved Ulricehamn FF from getting behind. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Täby BK's goalkeeper Sven-Erik Siöberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sven-Arne Nyström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Torsten Josefsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd match minute, Ulricehamn FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Lidström to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Täby BK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ulricehamn FF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
