The Västerljung fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Vittaryd IK's Villiam Gadd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Vittaryd IK from getting a goal against them. If Olov Haeger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. When Olov Haeger fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vittaryd IK's protests and gave Olov Haeger a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute, Olov Haeger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Västerljung's Gert Johansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Västerljung from getting a goal against them. After 91 played minutes Västerljung got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Viklund. If Bengt-Rune Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute.
