When Christopher Rosendal came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Svenstavik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Rosendal couldn't finish the play. Christopher Rosendal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Joel Sundling made a huge save. Tord Blom charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tord Blom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Älvängen FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tord Blom to maneuver through the defense. Tobias Smedfeldt struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Joel Sundling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Svenstavik. After a defensive mix-up in Älvängen FK's zone, Tobias Smedfeldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Sundling came out of the goal and Tobias Smedfeldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Joel Sundling managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Svenstavik's Christopher Rosendal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 41st minute, Tobias Smedfeldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Sundling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christopher Rosendal in the 46th minute. During the 46th minute of the match Michael Mickelsson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Michael Mickelsson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 47th match minute, Älvängen FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Mickelsson to maneuver through the defense. If Christopher Rosendal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kurt Vester to make the kick off.
