In the 23rd minute Osvald Gadd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernst Stenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Osvald Gadd came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Östavall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvald Gadd couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Joacim Smed sped through Liden RK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ernst Stenberg. With a little luck, Östavall's Ernst Berglund got control of the ball when Nils-Emil Hedkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Henning Gregersson struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tim Ljungberg during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nils-Emil Hedkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernst Berglund having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Östavall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Fredriksson to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Östavall eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
