Sigtuna BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmund Vallengren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Ängelholm defense, Erling Bergström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claes Ström. The Ängelholm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claes Ström should have stopped the shot. Claes Ström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erling Bergström, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Erling Bergström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Ström having to interfere. Claes Ström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magne Gummeson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adam Wallman charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adam Wallman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Adam Wallman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd match minute, Ängelholm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Arvidsson to maneuver through the defense. When Erling Bergström came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Sigtuna BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erling Bergström couldn't finish the play. Claes Ström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmund Vallengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Ängelholm's Måns Vennerdal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Måns Vennerdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sigtuna BF getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Krister Lind hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Torbjörn Olsmann hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. If Sten Strömbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Sigtuna BF's goal looked a bit too open when Måns Vennerdal came free, but Ivar Falck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
In the 53rd minute Bernt Arvidsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Falck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Måns Vennerdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Orvar Jonasson hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Måns Vennerdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ängelholm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Måns Vennerdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Erling Bergström took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Claes Ström to make any attempt to save it. Sten Strömbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ängelholm's Sten Strömbom got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Ängelholm's Måns Vennerdal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivar Falck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Måns Vennerdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sigtuna BF were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Ängelholm's much stronger midfield.
