Tony Billvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Åmål IF's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Hybbert came free, but Magnus Hasselqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Hybbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Hasselqvist having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Hampus Larsfelt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åtvidaberg IF and the Åmål IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Åtvidaberg IF getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Hampus Larsfelt hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Åtvidaberg IF's Daniel Hybbert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Magnus Hasselqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Åmål IF's Magnus Hasselqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Hybbert in the 25th minute of play. Daniel Hybbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Hybbert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magnus Hasselqvist having to make a save. Stig Bokelund kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Åmål IF's Sebastian Askestät got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Agne Vennersten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Sebastian Askestät got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Hybbert was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the game, Karl-Oskar Wiklund landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. In the 54th minute, Sebastian Almstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 played minutes Åmål IF got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Berggren. Agne Vennersten charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agne Vennersten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Agne Vennersten hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 63 played minutes, Åtvidaberg IF's Olof Fristedt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Magnus Hasselqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Åtvidaberg IF reached it. When Emil Malm fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åmål IF's protests and gave Emil Malm a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Åtvidaberg IF booed when Åmål IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Malm didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sebastian Askestät came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Åmål IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Askestät couldn't finish the play. Daniel Hybbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Åmål IF's Magnus Hasselqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Hybbert in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Åmål IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Hellbom to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute of the match Olof Fristedt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Magnus Hasselqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sebastian Askestät fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Billvall having to interfere. Magnus Hasselqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Hybbert in the 91st minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
