Douglas Lundkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Georg Alfors's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Per Tidén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Mattias Hellqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uno Damm kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Skärplinge getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Alf Pil hit a great ball. Walter Jakobsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Mattias Hellqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gemla IK's Walter Jakobsson got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 27 minutes, Georg Alfors made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gemla IK's Douglas Lundkvist tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Per Tidén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 minutes, Ivan Pihlgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gemla IK and the Skärplinge players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Gemla IK got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Pihlgren. Georg Alfors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Douglas Lundkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Hannes Ståhlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Georg Alfors might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Douglas Lundkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Georg Alfors ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 46th minute, Stefan Lundhberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skärplinge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Georg Alfors to strike the kick off in the second half. Ivan Pihlgren got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ivan Pihlgren kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Per Tidén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Hellqvist having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Skärplinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Apelqvist to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Gemla IK's zone, Uno Damm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Lundkvist came out of the goal and Uno Damm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Georg Alfors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per Tidén struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Mattias Hellqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gemla IK. Douglas Lundkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georg Alfors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute Per Tidén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Hellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hannes Ståhlberg in the 78th minute of play forced Skärplinge's goalkeeper Mattias Hellqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malte Ahlgren kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Georg Alfors's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Lundkvist was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. When Georg Alfors came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Skärplinge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Georg Alfors couldn't finish the play. Stefan Lundhberg struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Douglas Lundkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skärplinge. Douglas Lundkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stefan Lundhberg went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Skärplinge had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
