Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kjell-Arne Linquist started the match with the kick off. Tom Åkerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 12 minutes, Alfons Skager managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Färjestaden IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfons Skager was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Färjestaden IF's Jimmie Viberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Åkerman in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Färjestaden IF's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell-Arne Linquist came free, but Jimmie Viberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Joar Qvalfeldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Folke Kellberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfons Skager in the 22nd minute. Alfons Skager sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingvar Ahlrot hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Färjestaden IF's Jimmie Viberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell-Arne Linquist in the 40th minute of play. Jimmie Viberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell-Arne Linquist in the 44th minute of the match. Alfons Skager blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Folke Kellberg having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joar Qvalfeldt to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Färjestaden IF's Alfons Skager sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Folke Kellberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Folke Kellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Skager in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Alfons Skager cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Folke Kellberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 63rd minute Kjell-Arne Linquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Viberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Färjestaden IF's zone, Tom Åkerman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmie Viberg came out of the goal and Tom Åkerman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kjell-Arne Linquist scored 2-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jimmie Viberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Färjestaden IF getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ingvar Ahlrot hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Färjestaden IF's zone, Tom Åkerman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmie Viberg came out of the goal and Tom Åkerman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tom Åkerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Väse's Kjell-Arne Linquist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
