A hard shot by Pontus Jonsson from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Wiktor Utter's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 22 minutes, Stig-Åke Björk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skyttorp BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Åke Björk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Karl-Åke Johansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Undersåker RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skyttorp BF the free kick. In the 35th minute, Inge Lundqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Wiktor Utter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Undersåker RK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Skyttorp BF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
